Post 6 Dry Ridge Welcomes New Post Commander 

DRY RIDGE, Ky. (January 5, 2024) – Kentucky State Police Post 6, Dry Ridge, recently welcomed Captain Scott Lengle as the new commander.

Captain Lengle, a 20-year veteran with KSP, was initially assigned to Post 6, Dry Ridge, upon his academy graduation in 2004. After serving as a uniformed trooper and detective at Post 6, Captain Lengle was promoted to Sergeant in 2015 and remained assigned to Post 6 as the detective sergeant. In 2017, he transferred to the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) based out of Frankfort, KY, where he primarily conducted criminal investigations of officer-involved shooting incidents throughout the Commonwealth. Toward the end of 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and remained assigned to the Critical Incident Response Team. In 2021, Captain Lengle was promoted to his current rank and transitioned to Commander of the Critical Incident Response Team. In October 2023, Captain Lengle was selected as the new Commander for Post 6, Dry Ridge. During his career, Lengle has received the Kentucky State Police Citation for Bravery. 

Returning to Dry Ridge, Captain Lengle said he hopes to strengthen recruitment efforts for Post 6, which covers Campbell, Kenton, Boone, Grant, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson, Nicholas, and Bourbon counties. 

Captain Lengle is a 2002 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. A current resident of Crittenden, he is married and has two daughters and a son. Captain Lengle is excited to be home serving his community.
