KSP Post 6 Dry Ridge Investigates a Fatal Collision in Grant County
Dry Ridge, Ky. (January 14, 2026) –On January 14, 2026, at 11:14 a.m., Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 6 received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision at 2935 Taft Highway in Grant County. It was determined through the investigation that a 81-year-old female driver of a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 crossed left of center and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado head-on. The 81-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. She was the only person in her vehicle. There were two adults and two juveniles in the vehicle she struck. A 35-year-old female who was a front-seat passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. The two juveniles were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. The Driver of the vehicle was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Dry Ridge Fire Department, Williamstown Fire Department, Grant County Emergency Management, Air EVAC, UC Air Care, and Grant County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by the KSP Post 6 Collision Reconstructionist.
