Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Bracken County

Brooksville, KY. (August 25, 2021) –The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 6 has been contacted by the Bracken County Sheriff Department to investigate a fatal collision that occurred on the AA Highway near Bladeston Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 4:15pm Joshua Martin, age 45, of Waynoka, Ohio, was driving a Cadillac, Catera south on the AA Highway, when he crossed into the on-coming lanes of travel. Joshua Martins vehicle then collided with a Ford, F250 driven by Jeffery Skillman, age 65, of Red Banks, Mississippi, who was traveling north on the AA Highway.

Joshua Martin was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bracken County Coroner. Jeffery Skillman was taken to the University of Cincinnati Hospital with severe injuries.

A Kentucky State Police Post 6 Collision Reconstructionist is investigating the Collision. KSP was assisted at the scene by Bracken County Sheriff Deputies, Bracken County Fire and EMS, Bracken County Highway Department and the Bracken County Coroner.
