
Kentucky State Police Investigate Escaped Inmate in Madison County
RICHMOND, Ky. (October 10, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, is searching for an inmate who walked away from the Bluegrass Career Development Center just before 7:30 p.m. yesterday, October 9th in Madison County.
Jeremy D. Ward, 26 years of age, from Hartford, Ky., is described as a white male, 5’8″ tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes and tattoos on his neck and chest. Mr. Ward was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, camouflage sweatpants, and white shoes.
Mr. Ward was serving a sentence for multiple Drug Trafficking and Possession Charges, Burglary and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
Anyone who may have information about the location of James D. Ward is asked to call their local law enforcement or KSP Post 7 at 859.623.2404. Ward is known to frequent Owensboro, Hartford, Beaver Dam and surrounding counties.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Justin Watts.
