Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Boyle County

DANVILLE, Ky. (February 11, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 7 Richmond, was contacted just before 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in reference to a three-vehicle collision on Danville Road (KY-52) near the intersection of Goggin Lane in Boyle County.

The initial investigation indicates a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Brayden Childers, 18, of Junction City, was traveling east on Danville Road. A 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, operated by Angel Oaks, was also traveling east and slowing to make a left turn onto Goggin Lane. Mr. Childers crossed the center line in an attempt to pass the Tahoe, striking the rear of the vehicle before colliding with a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by Larry Myers, who was traveling west on Danville Road.

As a result of the collision, Larry Myers, 80, of Lancaster, Ky, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Boyle County Coroner Eric Guerrant. Angel Oaks was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Brayden Childers was also transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Tyler Holt. He was assisted at the scene by personnel from Kentucky State Police, the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, Boyle County EMS, Boyle County Fire Department, and the Boyle County Coroner’s Office.
