Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Lincoln County
STANFORD, Ky. (February 21, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 7, Richmond, is investigating a fatal collision that occurred just before 1:30 a.m. this morning near the intersection of US 27 and East Main Street in the Stanford community.
The initial investigation indicates a 2004 Buick, operated by Sandra Arie, 75, of Creve Coeur, IL, was traveling south on US 27 in the north bound lane and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota, traveling north on US-27, driven by Alexis Slone, 19, of Waynesburg, KY.
As a result of the collision, Sandra Arie, 75 year old, of Creve Coeur, IL, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased by the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office. Alexis Slone was transported to Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford with non-life-threatening injuries.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Trooper Seth Owens. He was assisted on the scene by KSP personnel, Stanford Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County EMS, Lincoln County Fire Department and the Lincoln County Coroners Office.
