Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Boyle County

PARKSVILLE, Ky. (March 6, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 7 Richmond, was contacted just before 7:15 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, regarding a two-vehicle collision on Lebanon Road (KY-34) near the intersection of Alum Springs Road (KY-300) in Boyle County.

The initial investigation indicates a 2018 Cadillac SRX, operated by Frankie Simpson, 41, of Parksville, was traveling westbound on Lebanon Road, while a 2015 Toyota Highlander, operated by Aric Mlejnek, 44, of Nicholasville, was traveling eastbound. Mr. Simpson crossed the center line, entering the eastbound lane of travel, where his vehicle collided with the oncoming Toyota Highlander.

As a result of the collision, Frankie Simpson, 41, of Parksville was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Boyle County Coroner, Eric Guerrant. Aric Mlejnek was also transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by Detective Tyler Holt. He was assisted at the scene by personnel from Kentucky State Police, the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, Boyle County EMS, Boyle County Fire Department, and the Boyle County Coroner’s Office.
