Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation After Human Remains Found in Madison County

RICHMOND, Ky. (April 4, 2026) –  The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted just before 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in reference to possible human remains discovered in Madison County.

The initial investigation indicates human skeletal remains were located in a wooded area off Moran Summit Road in Madison County. The remains were removed by the Madison County Coroner and will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Anthony Bowling. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel, and the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
