Kentucky State Police Arrest Montgomery County Man in Assault Investigation

Mt. Sterling, KY. (January 14, 2022) – On Jan. 11, Kentucky State Police (KSP), Post 8, Morehead received a call for assistance from the Mount Sterling Police Department in reference to an assault which occurred within the city limits of Mt. Sterling in Montgomery County. Sergeant E. Robinson with KSP responded to investigate the incident.

On Jan. 14, as a result of the investigation, Sergeant Robinson was able to obtain arrest warrants for Richard J. Perri.  Mr. Perri is charged with Strangulation 1^st Degree, Assault 4^th degree, and 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1^st Degree. Mr. Perri was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center. This investigation remains ongoing.
