Kentucky State Police Morehead Make an Arrest in Cold Case Bank Robbery

Morehead, KY. (March 1. 2022) –Detectives and Troopers from Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead was able to obtain arrest warrants on Adam Akers, 28 years of age from Mt. Sterling, KY. Mr. Akers was arrested for Robbery 1^st degree.

This arrest is the result from an investigation detectives investigated on March 23, 2018. Mr. Akers entered Whitaker Bank in Clay City, KY where he robbed the bank at gunpoint and fled the area with a large sum on money. Adam Akers was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center. This incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Morehead.
