Kentucky State Police Post 8 Investigates Fatal Collision in Morgan County

WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (June, 08, 2026) – Friday June 5 around 3:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 8 received a call from West Liberty Dispatch requesting assistance with a injury collision on Highway 460 West near West Liberty Vet Clinic. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Chevrolet Rollback was traveling on US 460 when the vehicle in front of it slowed down to turn onto Veterinarian Lane. The rollback entered the passing lane to pass the vehicle as a red 2024 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Linda Sue Bush, 66 of West Liberty, was exiting Veterinarian Lane and was struck by the rollback. Miss Bush was transported to ARH Hospital in West Liberty and later flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. 

KSP was assisted by Morgan County EMS, West Liberty Fire Department and Morgan County Rescue Squad. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Jordan Barnett.
