KSP Investigates Fatal Crash in Pike County    

This case is open and remains under investigation by Trooper Mark Branham.

Virgie, KY (October 19, 2018) Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09, are investigating a two vehicle fatal collision that occurred just after 4 PM on KY 1469 in Virgie community of Pike County.

 

Troopers responded to the scene and it was determined Jordan Wright (20 of Jonancy KY) was operating his motorcycle East Bound on KY 1469 when the vehicle traveling East in front of him made a U-turn and Mr. Wrights motorcycle struck the vehicle in the driver’s door.

 

Mr. Wright was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office. The deceased was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for an Autopsy. No charges have been filed at this time, although charges may result pending Toxicology reports for the operator of the vehicle involved in the crash.
