Kentucky High Five Rural Traffic Safety Project to Launch October 10th in Floyd County
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2025) – A news conference announcing the launch of the High Five Rural Traffic Safety Project (High Five) in Floyd county will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10th at 313 Westminster Street in Prestonsburg. The 12-month public safety initiative, successfully piloted in Iowa, aims to increase seat belt use and decrease overall serious crashes in five participating rural Kentucky counties.
