Kentucky High Five Rural Traffic Safety Project to Launch October 10th in Floyd County

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2025) – A news conference announcing the launch of the High Five Rural Traffic Safety Project (High Five) in Floyd county will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10^th at 313 Westminster Street in Prestonsburg. The 12-month public safety initiative, successfully piloted in Iowa, aims to increase seat belt use and decrease overall serious crashes in five participating rural Kentucky counties.
