Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation in Pike County

MILLARD, Ky. (December 11, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, regarding an unresponsive female in the Millard community of Pike County.

KSP troopers responded to the area of Biggs Branch Road, where they located a deceased female. The initial investigation indicates that Valarie McPeek, 53 years old, of Pikeville, was found outside near Biggs Branch Road and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. At this time, no foul play is suspected.

Trooper Christopher Tyree is leading the ongoing investigation.
