Kentucky State Police Investigates Shooting in Pike County    

The case is being led by Detective Michael Coleman.

FREEBURN, KY (February 16, 2019) Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09, are investigating a shooting in the Johnson Bottom community of Freeburn, in Pike County.

 At 5:29 AM, Post 09 received a 911 call of hearing shots in the Johnson Bottom area. As Troopers arrived on the scene, they discovered an altercation had taken place in a residence. During the altercation, Greg Fields had suffered fatal injuries as result of a gunshot wound.

 No arrest have been made at this time, the case will be presented to the Pike County Grand Jury for consideration.
