KSP Arrests Greenville Man for Possession of Methamphetamine

Greenville, Ky. (Muhlenberg County) – Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville received a call of a man walking on the side of KY 189 South, on May 4, 2020 around 5:08 PM.

Trooper Justin Cornett responded to the area, where he encountered William Scarbro, age 62, of Greenville, KY, walking about two miles south of Greenville. Through further investigation, Trooper Cornett discovered Scarbro was under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

William Scarbro was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:

1. Public Intoxication- Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
2. Possession of Controlled Substance 1^st Degree, 1^st Offense (Methamphetamine)
3. Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess
4. Tampering with Physical Evidence
5. Criminal Littering
