KSP Investigates Fatal Crash in Pike County  

No charges have been made at this time pending toxicology results.

Pikeville, KY (June 2 2018) Just before 1:30 PM Post 9 Received a 911 call of a two-vehicle accident on US 23, just south of Pikeville city limits.

 

As Troopers, along with other responding agencies arrived on the scene, the preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle was traveling south on US 23.  The operator attempted to make a left turn and was struck in the passenger side by a northbound vehicle.

 

As a result of the collision, the operator of the southbound vehicle died at the Pikeville Medical Center.

 

No charges have been made at this time pending toxicology results.

 

This collision remains under the investigation of Trooper Coleman.
