Kentucky State Police Post 9 Makes Arrest After Pike County Crash

MOUTHCARD, Ky. (June 02, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 9 in Pikeville received a 911 call on Monday, June 1, 2026, regarding a single vehicle collision in the Mouthcard community of Pike County.

Troopers responded to the scene on South River Road and located a vehicle occupied by four juvenile passengers. The operator, identified as Ryan Wilson, fled the scene of the collision, leaving all four juveniles behind. One juvenile exited the vehicle and walked to a nearby business to request assistance in calling 911.

Troopers later located Wilson approximately 1.5 miles from the scene of the collision.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan Wilson, 37, was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. He is currently charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and License to be in Possession

Trooper Braxton Whitmore is leading the investigation and was assisted at the scene by additional Kentucky State Police personnel and local first responder agencies.
