UPDATE: Kentucky State Police Post 9 Requests Assistance in Locating Missing Juveniles

SIDNEY, Ky. (June 9, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post is requesting the public’s assistance in an ongoing investigation involving two missing juveniles.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, KSP Post 9 was contacted regarding two missing juveniles in Pike County. The initial investigation indicates that Jackie Elkins, 16, and Taylor Elkins, 15, both of Sidney, Kentucky, were last seen on Monday, June 8, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Elkins Fork in the Sidney community of Pike County.

Jackie Elkins is described as a white male, 6 feet 0 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Taylor Elkins is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jackie or Taylor Elkins is urged to contact the Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post at 606-433-7711.

This investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 9 Trooper Matthew Cornett.
