Kentucky State Police investigates Commercial Vehicle accident in Martin County    

Post 09 received a call of a crash which a log truck and a pickup truck

Milo KY (July 23, 2018) Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division are investigating an accident which occurred in the Milo community of Martin County.

Just after 330 PM Post 09 received a call of a crash which a log truck and a pickup truck were involved in on KY Rt. 645. It was reported there was a fire and possible entrapment in one of the vehicles.

Post 09 Dispatch notified Martin County 911 about the crash, The Local Fire Department, EMS, and the Martin County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to the scene.

Due to the severity of this crash assistance was requested from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. Officers responded to the crash for investigation and reconstruction. Upon their arrival  Officers  determined a pickup truck had struck the log truck in the rear end on the highway.

One person was transported to Pikeville Medical Center for injuries received in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Updates will be released as they become available.
