KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Floyd County

It was determined the operator of the motorcycle had fallen off the bike while traveling north

 (Ivel, KY)– July26, 2017

 Post 09 received a 911 call just after 6pm of a single motorcycle accident on US 23 in Ivel.

 Upon Troopers arrival it was determined the operator of the motorcycle had fallen off the bike while traveling north on the highway.

 The operator Dakota Hampton was transported to the Pikeville Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased just after midnight.

 This investigation is led by Trooper William Howard and remains open.
