Kentucky State Police Open Murder Investigation in Pike County

As this case continues, the Kentucky State Police Detective has obtained an arrest warrant for Murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The warrant is for Charles Ray Blevins (37 yoa). His last known address was in Williamson WV.

 

Anyone having contact with Mr. Blevins is urged to use extreme caution, as he is considered armed and dangerous. In addition, anyone with any information on his location are asked to call the Kentucky State Police at 606-433-7711 or dial 911, all callers can remain anonymous.

Update 07-08-19

 

This investigation is ongoing with no arrest being made as of today. Detectives are conducting interviews and processing evidence from the scene.

 

The victim in this case is Adrian Smith age 44, from Cleveland West Virginia.

 

The Kentucky State Police expect charges in next few days as the case proceeds. Anyone with any information about the case can call 606-433-7711 and report it. We do not need your name just the information.

South Williamson KY (July 6, 2019) Kentucky State Police Post 09 are investigating a murder in the South Williamson community.  The shooting occurred around 8PM Saturday evening, Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene and discovered there was one-person shot in the city park area near the flood wall.

 

This person was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office, the name is being withheld pending notification next of kin.

 

This case is ongoing under the lead of Detective Merlo. Further details will be released as they develop.
