Kentucky State Police Investigates a Single Vehicle Fatal Collision in Floyd County

TEABERRY, Ky. (August 15, 2025) – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post was notified of a single vehicle fatal collision in Floyd County at approximately 3:18 p.m. on August 14, 2025. The collision occurred on Kentucky Route 979 in the Teaberry community of Floyd County.

The initial investigation determined that Kyle Hall was operating a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it struck a concrete culvert. A passenger was transported to a nearby medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

Mr. Hall was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.

The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Keithan Hamilton. Trooper Hamilton was assisted at the scene by Post 9 personnel, Mud Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
