KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Magoffin County

(Salyersville, KY)  September 18, 2019 – Kentucky State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in the death of the operator.

Just before 6 AM, this morning Post 09 was notified of a single vehicle crash on Johnson Fork Road near Salyersville in Magoffin County. Upon Troopers arrival it was determined Lynsey Trusty (18YOA) from Royalton KY was traveling East on KY Rt. 134 when she lost control of her vehicle and overturned several times. Lynsey Trusty was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Magoffin County Coroner’s office. Lynsey Tursty was the only person in the vehicle, there was no other injuries in the crash.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Lifeguard Ambulance service, North Magoffin Fire Department, and North Magoffin Rescue Squad.
