KSP Investigates Murder in Floyd County

UPDATE (September 30, 2019) the results of the autopsy performed Saturday September 28, 2019 has confirmed this case to be murder of the victim Paul Fultz, (63 yoa) from Branham’s Creek.

Grethel, KY (September 27, 2019) Kentucky State Police, Pikeville Post 09, is investigating the death of a person in the Branham’s creek community of Floyd County.
A murder investigation is has been opened on KY RT 3379 in Floyd County, also known as Branham’s Creek. Kentucky State Troopers were called to a residence to check on the welfare of the person living in the residence. After several attempts to get someone to answer, entry was made and one person was found inside deceased. Detectives believe at this time the death was not natural and foul play is suspected. An Autopsy is scheduled for Friday September 28 2019.
Further details will be released as they develop, also the name of the person is being held pending notification next of kin.
This is an ongoing investigation led by Detective Coleman of the Kentucky State Police.
