Reed Man Arrested for DUI and Drugs After Traffic Stop
Trooper Located Methamphetamine and Weapon on the Driver
OWENSBORO, Ky. (April 19, 2018)—A Kentucky State Police trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle around 9pm on US60 East of Owensboro for a traffic violation. The trooper suspected the operator to be under the influence and asked him to exit the vehicle. While conducting field sobriety tests, the trooper located methamphetamine and a weapon on the driver. Billy R. Brown, 36 of Reed, KY was arrested and charged with:
1) Possession of Methamphetamine, 1st Offense
2) Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
3) Driving Under the Influence, 1st Offense
4) Carry Concealed Weapon by Felony Offender
5) No Insurance
6) Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle
7) One Headlight
8) Obstructed Vision and/or Windshield
He was transported and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
