UPDATE #3 (1-21-2018): Kentucky State Police charged a Grayson County woman in connection to the Kidnapping and Murder of Tromain Mackall.
Detectives charged Melanie D. Howard, 59 of Falls of Rough, KY with Murder, Kidnapping (victim death) and Tampering with Physical Evidence and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree. Howard was taken into custody Friday, January 19, 2018 and is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center in Leitchfield with no bond. KSP was assisted by Clarkson City Police Department in locating and arresting Howard.
The investigation is on-going by KSP detectives.

UPDATE #2 (12-06-2017): Kentucky State Police detectives charged 29 year-old Marcus Branden Boyken of Greenville, KY with Tampering with Physical Evidence. Today’s arrest stems from the on-going Tromain Mackall investigation which occurred back in July 2016.
Boyken is currently incarcerated at the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange for other unrelated charges. He was charged their today by detectives and will remain at KSR.

Hill, 33 of Owensboro with Murder, Kidnapping (victim death) and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Hill was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro with no bond

KSP Charges Grayson County Man with the Murder of Tromain Mackall
Detectives Believe the Murder Occurred in Daviess County
OWENSBORO, Ky. (March 14, 2017)–Kentucky State Police detectives charged William E. Howard Jr, 48 of Falls of Rough, KY with the murder of 29 year-old Tromain Mackall.
Mackall, who lived in Ohio County, was reported missing to authorities on July 25, 2016. His body was later located inside a toolbox floating in Spring Fork Creek in Grayson County.
KSP detectives were recently notified by the Kentucky State Police Crime Lab that they were able to successfully link Howard to the murder.
KSP troopers located Howard this afternoon in Brandenburg and arrested him without incident. He has been charged with Murder; Kidnapping (death of victim) and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Howard has been lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
